Warehouse Shipping Order

Based on the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 format, the 940 is used to advise the warehouse that a shipment is to be made to the designated "ship to" on the behalf of the depositor; it also provides detailed information concerning a warehouse shipment. The message contains information designed to assist the warehouse in accomplishing the specified shipment.
